Soft     Focus

​We are so excited that you are interested in submitting to the first issue of Soft Focus. To kick things off, we are looking for writing and art submissions about FAVORITES. Feel free to interpret the theme in whatever way makes sense to you. We are looking for innovative work that holds a unique perspective. ​​

Please allow us 3-4 weeks to respond to your submission (we are a very small team who is still in the process of figuring out standard zine operations!) If you haven't heard from us after a month, feel free to send a follow up email.

To Submit

Please send submissions to softfocuszine@gmail.com 

✰ The subject of your email should appear as follows: "Submission - Issue ___ - [Your name as it should appear in the issue if accepted] - Title of Submission"

✰ File names should appear as follows: "Your Name_Title of Submission"

✰ Please submit work that has not already been published in print or online.​

Writing: Submit a maximum of 800 words as a .docx file.

​

Visual Art: Submit up to three high resolution images as a .jpeg or .png file.  

​

Please include a short third-person bio in the body of your submission email. Feel free to include links to any relevant social media accounts or websites. If your submission is accepted, we may quote from your bio, submitted piece, or share your social accounts on our Instagram as a way to promote the upcoming issue. If you are NOT interested in this, please say so in your email (but please still introduce yourself, we want to learn about our submitters)!

Contributors who are chosen for publication will receive a copy of the zine.
