We are excited to open submissions for Issue 02 of our zine on the theme of TEARJERKERS. Feel free to interpret this in whatever way makes sense to you. Please visit our about page to familiarize yourself with the kind of work we are looking for.​​

After submitting, you are welcome to email us anytime to check in, just be aware that submission responses will likely be sent after the deadline has passed.

To Submit

Please send submissions to softfocuszine@gmail.com 

✰ The subject of your email should appear as follows: "Submission - Issue ___ - [Your name as it should appear in the issue if accepted] - Title of Submission"

✰ File names should appear as follows: "Your Name_Title of Submission"

✰ Please submit work that has not already been published in print or online.​

Writing: Submit a maximum of 800 words as a .docx file.

​

Visual Art: Submit up to three high resolution images as a .jpeg or .png file.

​

Please note: the size of our zine will be 5.5" x 8.5" when printed. We are open to printing artwork on a single page, doing a spread across two pages, or fitting multiple pieces in the same space depending on what is submitted. All to say, feel free to submit your work in whatever aspect ratio best fits your piece.

Please include a short third-person bio in the body of your submission email. Feel free to include links to any relevant social media accounts or websites. If your submission is accepted, we may quote from your bio, submitted piece, or share your social accounts on our Instagram as a way to promote the upcoming issue. If you are NOT interested in this, please say so in your email (but please still introduce yourself, we want to learn about our submitters)!
